filterseffects

The Emboss filter simulates a raised picture, making your image leap right off the screen. Your image can be grayscaled or keep its original colors (grayscale tends to look more embossed). The next two setting affect the virtual light that is cast upon your picture. Angle indicates the angle that the light is pointing from, with 0 being at three o'clock on a clock dial, going all the way around through 360°. Elevation is the angle, in degrees, at which the light is in the air, from 0 (on the horizon) to 90° (at high noon - straight up). Depth of Effect indicates the strength of the embossing.
