Gaussian Blur creates a blur effect based on the Gaussian distribution invented by Dr. Gauss in the 17th century. It produces a much softer, more organic looking blur than the standard blur tool. There is a tradeoff involved with this filter, as it does take longer to compute than the standard blur. The Filter Size setting controls the depth of the blur. This setting ranges from 0.1 to 100.0.
